is provided for free from Microsoft, the media player is also available for free

Hardware:
We recommend using a Pentium 4 PC with 256Mb Ram minimum & Windows 2000 operating
system for best performance for audio & video encoding machines. An encoding
machine sits at the source of audio or video and prepares the media for delivery
to our server. We also recommend a high standard soundcard for best results for
audio and a good video capture card for video. We can recommend the best choice.
Internet Connection:
An always on Internet connection is required in order to stream audio or video.
Leased Lines, ADSL, Cable, ISDN and Satellite Internet connections are the available
choices at the moment. This is because an always on Internet connection is required
and the connection speed must exceed at least 25% of the stream bandwidth to ensure
smooth uninterrupted delivery of your media. A dial up connection is unpractical.
